Quick and simple to use. Switch off pump, remove from the tub, attach the Descaling kit. Flush the limescale away, it’s that simple! - Keep getting E02 error codes? Most likely a build-up of limescale causing irreversible damage to the pump, heater and internal components.
Descaling kit helps water flow by descaling the pump, heater and internal components- Significantly improves water flow, heating efficiency, saving money on heating the tub and extending the lifespan of the pump. - Diagnoses fault codes by separating the pump and the tub. – check for leaks inside the pump ‘off the tub'. Excellent at testing a used pump.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Alwars rinse your Descaling kit, thoroughly with clean fresh water before and after use Descaling should always be done on a well drained surface such as a lawn to ensure no staininz occurs We supply and recommend OUST descaling solution, Always use a suitable descaling solution or tablets and follow the manufacturer's safety instructions
1. Switch off pump. Unscrew filter housing from inside the tub. Push the two black stopper caps on the inlet and outlet on the inside of the tub
2. Remove pump from the tub; unscrew two small pipes and one large (air) pipe between the pump and the tub.
It's normal to lose about a cupful of water from the air pipe. ** It is advisable to have the cap for the air pipe handy just in case you lose more water**
3. Attach your to the pump; insert the two rubber tabbed washers provided into the couplings. Screw the 2 small pipes from the pump on to the Descaling kit. Screw on hand tight only. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN OR THIS WILL DAMAGE THE THREADS ON THE PUMP AND / OR on Descaling kit
4. Make sure the caps are tightened, again, hand tight only. Fill to about 2 inches below the top, with approximately 1.2 litres of cold water, Tilt the pump back to fill the pump with water, then top up the Descaling kit. Switch on pump and test for leaks. Tighten fittings, caps if necessary then add descaler solution (Oust or
similar)
5. Run pump for a minimum of 30 minutes on heat (30°C-35°C) longer if you want.
*** Do not allow the pump (water) temperature to exceed 40° *** If you do, you'll encounter an E08 (high temp) error. If this occurs, reset the RCD, switch back on, carry out a thermal reset on the pump (push the button in the middle of the pump and reduce the temperature accordingly. It is usual for the solution to go very milky, the milkier the solution, the more limescale you are removing
6. Remove the lower cap to drain or tip the solution out with the Descaling kit attached to the pump into a suitable container or jug. Refill to the top with clean fresh water and repeat steps 4 and 5 for a minimum of 5 minutes
7. Drain and remove the Descaling kit and tabbed rubber washers from the couplings. Pop the washers in the Descaling kit ready for next time. Loosen caps very slightly so the washers inside don't become squashed. Refit pump to hot tub
8. Remove black stopper caps from inside of tub. Replace filter housing. Switch on pump and enjoy once again!
Use 3-4 times a year to prolong the life of the pump and internal components. More frequent / repeat treatments / leaving overnight may be needed in exceptionally hard water areas
